ISO FTW. Takes getting used to, but makes sense (larger increment of time >> smaller increment of time; YYMMDD).

Well I prefer the American system (partially because I am an American :) ) But when i say the date, I say, "September 4, 2012" and it makes sense to me that the numerical date fits that. Fourth of September is just backwards in English. ISO format is logical though, and I do like it a lot.
