Title: FS Mission Designers WebRing
Post by: Grey Wolf on March 16, 2001, 04:00:00 pm
I set up a webring on Yahoo WebRings because it's so hard to find the sites with search engines. So far I only have my site, but if you want to join or check it out, click here (//"http://nav.webring.yahoo.com/hub?ring=freespacemission").

Unfortunately, a webring like this may not have the option to grow - there is already an established FS2 Webring, and in addition, FS2 is becoming an old game - it may be easier instead to join the current FS2 webring.

Yeah. I agree with Setekh. FreeSpace 2 may become old in a very short time. We're just trying to extend it a bit.

It's already old, I'm afraid...

Well, I already have 1 new member. "Operation: Without Remorse", run by a guy identified as Guardellis, has joined the ring. And he's hosted by HLP.

Really? Last time I checked his callsign was Guardian and his real name was James Ellis. Confusion, or did he really change his callsign?  (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/smile.gif)

Got two more sites. Gaurdian's Ellis Station and Warlock's Death Angels Squadron\ Ghosts of the Past Campaign Site have joined the ring. Take that Setekh.

We made a decision a while back not to join any webrings.  This includes FS, IW and FL.

If we change our minds, we'll mention it.

why don't you want to join any rings? It should make you easier to find for newbies... Well anyway I don't know what joining a ring implies, so it's just a question.

Hey Shrike, I understand what your saying.  It's cool with me.  Venom, a WebRing is a setup on Yahoo! WebRings that allow you to group different sites together.  To be part of the Ring you have to be approved by the RingMaster, such as me with the FS Mission Designers WebRing, or Remora with the "Official" FreeSpace WebRing (which my site, GTD Wolf, is still waiting to be approved after 7 weeks!) and the FreeSpace 2 Webring (only 3 weeks for this WebRing).  You can browse through the rings here. What can I say,..I blew off the FS2 ring over a year ago :P  hehe

And Guard dropped us a invite to the ring on our forum,..so I figured...hey what the hell..free promo  (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/smile.gif)

FYI I've also got a Squadron webring for anyone with SW sites  (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/smile.gif)

It was big until Yahoo buddy*screwed* us and bought webring.org out and LOST all my sites lol

I knew it was a good idea asking Guardian to recruit for me. . .  (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/devil.gif)
