Title: Raptor door glitch in mission 3
Post by: David cgc on September 15, 2012, 03:28:22 pm
Okay, so I finally caught Orange 2 in the act after getting glimpses suggesting the door open when he stops to pick up Obit (which it does, which is awesome), and I noticed the Raptor's door rotates to the side, rather than swinging up.

That's because FSO's animation code is currently limited to rotations only.

It should rotate up.

a swing upwards is still a rotation.

I want to confirm though that it is actually swinging to the side and not up like it should be.

There you go.

Huh. Looks like it's sliding in addition to rotating on the wrong axis. No, it's not, I just imagined the axis of rotation was in a place that made no sense.

I think it's rotating through the hull. I'll get one of the model converters to look at that.

Whoever looks at this, it's in Diaspora Mantis 897

I mistook "swing" and "slide". Proof that I be not bilingual yet :p
