I recently lost my FS2 CD's! I've tore up my house looking for em but they just gone. :(
Now I'm checking everywhere to find a replacement, but it's all gone! Anyone know an online vendor that happens to stock FS2?
-
So what you're trying to say is;
"I think you ought to know I'm feeling very depressed."
Anyway, try Gameplay (http://www.gameplay.co.uk)
-
Check eBay, someone might be auctioning off a copy. Thats where I got mine anyway
-
Walmart, Target, Best Buy, etc. I have seen Freespace1 and Freespace2 with expansions for sale as a twin-pack for about $10.
-
Z-shops on amazon.com should have them, that's where I got my second set after the first became too scratched to use...;)
-
ah ebay, i saw one on ebay going into $60. im glad i got mine for 10.
-
I'm glad I bought my copy at initial release - it's still okay!:D:D
-
I saw a Freesapce 1 at a Toys R Us
I know it doesnt help you but its kinda wierd to see a space sim like fs at a Toys R Us
-
and if all else fails, download ICQ and add 124289730 to your contact list ;7

Now now, Thunder... ;)
You can pick up FS and FS2 in a compilation box for £9.99 or less (in the UK, you might be able to get it shipped internationally) at both www.hmv.co.uk and www.uk.bol.com
Hope that helps.
-
Are you on about the White Label release? That's what mine is, I got it a year ago from GAME, when it was still £12.99.

Is the anti wares stance something GS enforces from above, or is it just a pet hate of one of the major staffers here? Not questioning it or anything, merely curious.
-
I believe it's the former. I am a warez fanatic myself (well, for productivity apps anyway), but I do not talk about that here. However, this kind of hard enforcement is silly as well IMO; just the mention of the word closes the topic. :doubt:

Know any good warez sites that aren't just pages of links?

Hah. Cost me £5 (special offer with other games). Pity the ones I got with it were crap, but nevermind. The double packl doesn't have Silent Threat of the secret goodies form the FS2 special edition, though.

its called WinMX
-
WinMX is only audio and video though...
i mean, not many people are going to rename a file to '.mp3' or '.mov'... although some people actually do :)
i'd say try morpheus or KaZaA, but before you do anything illegal, check prices:
http://www.ebay.com
the best place to find FS/FS2
i've got like 4 Freespace / Freespace 2 games... i used to collect as many as i could :) lol

DIE YOU SAILOR-MOON QUOTING WAREZ FREAK! Oh wait, that was a joke?
-
Yes..... warez bad.
-
Looks like further explanation is needed although I really don't want to - if peolpe don't know why we moderate then nobody will ever get anywhere...
We clamp down so highly on warez for a couple of reasons. Firstly GS doesn't like it - or rather they can't like it. From their point of view it'd look very bad if they allowed their hosted sites to talk openly about warez, exchanging links and so on. We don't want them to get in trouble - or to get in trouble with them.
Secondly we as the staff don't like people exchanging links for games on the site - publicly our opinion is if you want to play a game you should buy it. It doesn't matter what our private opinion is because our public one is the only one that can be allowed to be seen by everyone. Myself - I like using warez for testing purposes and so on but I'll buy the game if I enjoyed its copy. That can't be garunteed with everyone so it's easier to ban the disucussion of warez links and so on on the public forums.
If you want to talk about warez with others openly or whatever then get yourselves in an ICQ conversation or something. Just don't do it round here - and thats an end to the matter :)
-
we do appreciate you moderating here Thunder!!!

It's just that I think since the VBB went for so long unmoderated people had gotten used to not seeing moderators that much.
keep moderating, we do appreciate it!
