Repro'd by me and one other guy:
The in-launcher mod function doesn't work, you need to manually enter a -mod command line.
-
Define "doesn't work". What appears, if anything, in the launcher's mods tab? A screenshot of that tab would be nice.
Note that currently, when you add a mod folder to your Diaspora folder, you need to restart the launcher for the mod to appear in the launcher's mods tab. (A "refresh mod list" button is in the plans, but with no ETA at the moment.)
Could you specify the mod you used for reproducing it (with a link to its release thread) and exact steps to reproduce?
Other than that, I might not be able to look at this more closely until this weekend. Perhaps Iss can look at it sooner than that.
Thanks.

You can see and select your mod fine, it just isn't applied in-game.
I've attached a zip of the mod.
e: If it's applied correctly you should be able to see a Bolitho#player in the techroom after ctrl-shift-s.

Alan on IRC did some great testing.
Issue appears:
With WXLauncher 0.9.2, Diaspora profile selected
With WXLauncher 0.9.1, Diaspora profile selected
Issue does not appear:
WXLauncher 0.9.2, regular profile selected, MVPs as mod
(i assume the same is true for 0.9.1)
So it seems to be an interaction between WXL and the Diaspora profile?
-
That is what I saw, yes.
-
It appears to be a sorting issue caused by the custom "No MOD" name that Diaspora has. It appears to affect both current versions of wxLauncher.
Currently there are two workarounds:
1) Name the mod something that sorts below Diaspora in the mod list.
-OR-
2) Rename the mod.ini in the root of the Diaspora folder to something else, like notmod.ini
We are currently working on finding the source of the bug and fixing it.
EDIT: Issue is fixed in trunk. It should be in the next release patch for Diaspora.

This issue is sheduled to be fixed in Diaspora 1.0.3. In the interm you can download and install wxLauncher 0.9.3 (https://www.box.com/shared/5rtj2jdfrhj4zp65ecjl) to the wxLauncher directory in your Diaspora game data folder.
