A new show on ABC, it chronicles the trials and tribulations of the USS Colorado, a nuclear submarine that receives the order to nuke Pakistan, but the Captain and his XO have reason to question their orders. As confirmation, they receive a Tomahawk to the face. Then they commandeer a small island.
This show is all kinds of awesome.
Andre Braugher, who I didn't know before this, plays the Captain of the boat. Scott Speedman plays the XO.
You should watch it immediately, if you have the chance.

Hmmm....Inteerresting....Will try it out, thanks E

it wasnt bad. but i get the feeling the plot will diverge away from submarines and nuclear warfare with time and will degrade into something like lost. but for now its another show to watch.
-
I wanted to watch, but iI forgot.
-
I watched the first episode and it does seem very promising. Will watch more.

seems to me this would be a better movie than a TV show. i don't know how long they are going to be able to stretch it for.
-
Well, if it only went for one season then that won't be so bad, although TV producers just don't think like that.
-
it seems the only options anymore for TV series are to get cancelled after a few episodes instead of making it a whole season, or be kept alive far past the point they should be until what was a good series dies a horrible, gurgling death. episodic type shows are really the only ones that endure. i hope this one doesn't go to ****. 2-3 seasons with a good closer would be nice.
i should note, i'm talking network prime-time here, not all the obscure **** everyone here watches :P

Last Resort is scheduled for a 13-episode run. I suppose that means that the makers have a plan that works in that format.
-
Something like American Horror Story had a good idea. Do a single season arc, close it off and then, if your show get renewed, do another, separate arc with (maybe) a few of the same characters. Admittedly, not something that can be made to work for all shows, but it's a good system where it works.

Nobody here taped this, and I didn't either. Crap.

Just discovered it's free to watch on Hulu, with ads of course.
...or is that just for US folks?

I'm always leery of that, after I discovered how badly CBS screws you on it, but we'll see.
