This Half-Life fan film was made by a bunch of college-age guys in a matter of two days on a $3000 budget. Some classy ****.
EDIT: And now it's going to be a web series. See this post (http://www.hard-light.net/forums/index.php?topic=82524.msg1646727#msg1646727).

Awesome!
-
Well holy ****
That headcrab? I mean wow. That's some damned awesome stuff
-
Damn, a Half-Life fan film without an embarrassingly bad script? I'm impressed.
-
The sound work, lighting and editing pitch perfect. Specially the sound work.
-
It's sad when a few fans with $3000 can make something that's more compelling than any big-budget game adaptation to date.
-
And according to a producer's comment in the top comments section on the video, they're thinking about doing a web series based on this. If this is the pilot episode, I think I'm in love.
Also, dat G-Man sighting (the one in the mirror, not the one at the end).
-
*HNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNGH*
That is all.
-
Confirmed, a web series is now in production.
From the producer's YouTube account:
AWESOME, GUYS! Your feedback makes us grin through our teeth like 5-year-olds ;) Now don't forget to SUBSCRIBE to our channel 'chariotdrive' so we can blast you with many more episodes soon!!!! - The producers -

I thought it was cool. I'll definitely check out the sequels.
-
As cool as that was, I wonder if they can bring themselves to create a compelling series out of it.
-
Saw that yesterday. The only think I can think of is GODDAMN I WANT THAT HEV SUIT. I've been building my own but theirs is so much more accurate, albeit it looks like it was made of mostly foam, but it still comes off damn snazzy on the camera.
-
the mostly foam design is my only real issue with the HEV, ther ewas at least one moment where a section I always thought of as being a hard section deformed but beyond that the suit was really well executed
-
Am I the only one who actually found the suit to be really convincing and didn't think it looked like a foam job until after hearing that it was actually made of foam? :nervous:
-
I never read the comments on or about the vid, so assumed it was foam from how it looked and how it deformed near the arms. but as I said the suit was really well done regardless of the material used
