and for the record the SD is about 1.5million polys it took 30 mins to render that scene on my AMD 900 T-bird and 600MB Ram

Because it's not actually a RY, it's based on the design but it's not the same.

Post by: Nico on June 18, 2002, 05:37:59 am: I don't mean the ship, i mean the fact it only has 2 engine pods, looks unbalanced this way. I love the RY too. Bah, i love anything starship trooper anyway (save for that blocky dropship, looks like a prefab flying mobile-home :p )

It's a battleship, it would be stupid if didn't had any weapons. otherwise it would be just some huge cargoship.

I have the RY that DarkShear made...and you can see every detail even turrets.

you can see them look again ( behind the bridge for exemple ).

Post by: Mr Carrot on June 21, 2002, 08:53:16 am: Hmmm, on the film i checked it out. They look like a turret at first but theres no where for it to traverse and the ends of the "barrels" are blocked over. I pinned it down to more antennae.

As for the model in the render, those "guns" look more like piping bolted onto the base of the ship?
