Title: As a Londoner, I find this pretty cool
Post by: karajorma on December 07, 2012, 09:16:26 am
www.bombsight.org

An interactive map of all the bombs that fell during the Blitz. Pick a London landmark and see how many bombs fell on it. I noticed that 3 bombs fell in the area around my house.

One bomb landed on the corner of my street. Wow, even the Nazis thought that lewsham was enough of a ****hole to not even be worth a token leveling.

This looks like one of those maps of busted Meth Labs in Tennessee or Colorado.

Will they be expanding it to anywhere else? I'd kinda like to see some places on the Continent as well.

Anyone get a counter on just how many bombs they've mapped?

Well the Blitz is fairly important to the identity of Londoners. Off the top of my head I can't think of another bombing campaign that is as famous in the UK. So unfortunately this might be a one-off.

Which is a pity, cause I'd be interested in seeing something similar for Coventry.

what if we make the bombs a lot bigger and then spread em out over more space, like the entire surface of the earth, then use more of them. id like to see that.
