Post by: utops on December 17, 2012, 09:28:15 am
got the job of rendering FSCP world? Debug log tell me that? Maybe performance on fly gimme clue?
I've got that strange hybrid system cards in my notebook... it automatically switch to geforce when situation needs it. But i don't know if it works on OpenGl based apps.

You can find out which gpu is in use by looking at the renderer initialization portion of the log. Look for a line that says "OpenGL vendor string" and see which card is in use.
Experience tells us that the driver will not switch to the nvidia-chip by default, you need to tell the driver to recognize FSO as a program that needs more power manually.

As I do not own a system like that myself, I cannot tell you how to do this, but google should know.

Code: [Select]
OpenGL Vendor    : NVIDIA Corporation
OpenGL Renderer  : GeForce GT 635M/PCIe/SSE2

Guess it's ok.
BTW this small geforce has got quite potentential - game runs more smoothly in comparsion to my old desktop with radeon HD4650
