I don't know if this belongs here, technically it's a coding request but since it's FRED2 related..
Anyways, can we get something like the F2 shortcut on windows to modify the contents of a text area in the event editor?
Everytime I want to modify the contents of any editable field on an event, I have to go there with the mouse and click and all that stuff... It's quite annoying.
Also, If there's a shortcut already in place please let me know and consider the request invalid.

If you mean for things like event names, try spacebar.
My FREDding increased 10,000% after I discovered that.

That's it!, many thanks Axem.
And just to add some usefull motive to the thread, I'll ask if it's possible to add an indication of this shortcut (spacebar) on the mouse dropdown menu, right beside the "Edit Data" option.

HOLY ****

yes, and it works on more than just event names... which I was kinda hoping :D
It's a shame it does not work on the main editor though, Shift-S all the way it is.

Wat. I thought this was common knowledge? Or maybe I learned it from Axem some time ago... I can't remember.

Liar.
In other respects, this is awesome news. I had been using triple-click, but that is cumbersome, especially when editing the root of a collapsible list. For this suggestion, plus the new HLP newsletter, I award Axem the gold star*.
