If people didn't know what a raving loon Alex Jones is to begin with, all they need to do is listen to about 3.5 minutes of this clip to get the point.
I would have put it in the shooting thread, but this idiot deserves his own for sheer ridicule purposes.
-
3 and a half minutes? I barely made it thirty seconds.
-
Kazan Effect.
(Even if you agree with any portion of his policies, you don't want to.)
-
lol. this guy makes a couple good points. too bad hes a quack and no one will believe him.
-
Wow. Literally a comment every second on that video. Never seen that before.
-
I lost it at 2:15
-
I haven't heard of him before. He's a lively one, isn't he.
His crime figures for Britain are garbage though.
I'd like to see him go head to head with Jeremy Kyle, that could be amusing.
-
Oh wow, I listened to the whole clip. That was a thing of beauty.
It's people like Jones that actually drive other people into the camp he's trying to attack.
-
I laughed a bunch, then felt very unfortunate for living in the same country as him.
-
Suicide mass-murder pills? The New World Order?
I think this guy forgot to take his medication.
-
I saw his documentary on the Builderburgs. It features him spending an entire afternoon shouting at a Canadian hotel through a megaphone because he thought world leaders were congregating there to plot evil schemes.

If I laugh anymore, I might deflate one of my lungs

He's a character all right...

The only mistake the host made is even talking to this guy. You don't engage in a discussion with lunatics, even if they luck out and make a valid point in an extremely lucky rare occasion (and I'm not saying this happened here), it'll be rendered irrelevant as ramblings of an insane person. I did laugh when he proposed he invite him back in a boxing ring and he'll take him. Mr. Jones, I hate to break it to you, but I very much doubt anyone wants to see you without your shirt on. Now listen to your doctor, take your prescribed dosage, and stop self-medicating, it's not doing you any favors :P

wtf, I haven seen tiled backgrounds like that for nearly a decade lol.
as for the rant, I think i got about 5 mins in when i watched it on Yahoo news before shutting it off, I mean some people wonder why the world thinks America is full of gun crazed conspiracy theorists.
-
Alex Jones isn't the reason people think America is full of crazies. The 104,000 people who signed a petition trying to trample Pier's Morgan right to the first amendment for daring to anything about the second, is why people think America is full of crazies.

Yes because 104,000 out of a total population of 311,591,917 as of 2011 census represents an overwhelming majority.

true but it's the vocal minority that make the impression ;)

Exactly. I know that the 104,000 is a tiny number but Alex Jones is obviously certifiable. So it's a pretty large number of people to be following someone so obviously off their head. So it does have the effect of making the average American look a lot crazier than they actually are.
-
It gets sillier in the second part.
"America was born on guns and whiskey."
Incidentally, my state lets you carry in bars, and they're soon to pass a bill that will ban business owners from prohibiting firearms on their property. Let's see how well that guns-'n-whiskey combination works out in the modern day.
[edit] ...and he finishes by putting on an accent to mock Piers Morgan for having an accent. Class act. [/edit]

I couldn't make it past the massive Godwin around two minutes in. My brain decided "WELP THAT'S ENOUGH" and reflexively closed the tab.

104,000 unconnected individuals in such a population would not even be on the radar.
If organized behind a lunatic and very vocal spokesperson however, 104,000 in any country's population suddenly "appears" scary.

when these people are the ones on mass media making the biggest fuss then yes
edit.
also you have to ask how many people who have similar views who didn't sign this petition for one reason or another
-
Oh look! Piers Morgan hand-picking someone crazy he knows he can easily flog to forward an agenda. Totally surprising.

I thought Jones was the one who actually started the petition to get Morgan deported? I'd say they found each other.

This topic is already full of anti-Alex Jones comments so I'll focus on Piers Morgan: The guy acts like a imperialist or redcoat character in a movie, disrespecting and belittling the USA, it's people and laws. It becomes pretty clear in a much more reasonable and rational interview (no thanks to Piers constantly trying to steer it Tavistock style) here (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ObNC4bXTDf0) with Ben Shapiro. Calling the US Constitution "your little book" as if referencing it to Mao's little red book is rather unfair but a smart psychological tactic to try to steer people away from the law of the land. Also calling the US people 'citizens' the way he did, sounded off to me, as if referring to serfs or peons, the way he acts and the intonation of his voice.
Btw, some of his history:

"Piers Morgan hit the headlines himself in February 2000 when the Mirror became embroiled in a share dealing scandal - after several staff bought shares tipped in the paper's City Slickers column."

Plenty of reason to actually wanting him deported back to England to face his charges. :P But yes, hardly the person that has a moral high ground or authority or charisma to tell 300+ million people what they can and cannot own or use.
Just wanted to balance things out a little.

why do you think he had to go to the states to get a serious TV gig?
-
That was a serious TV Gig? I thought it was some sort of comedy

serious in that I hate to think how much money he is making and the fact that people presumably watch him without automatically thinking bull****

That's what happens when Piers makes the mistake of picking someone with a little sanity, and capability for self-control, for an interview.
Honestly Piers, you've kind of been a bully on this issue because what you do ... what you tend to do, is demonize people who differ from you politically from you by standing on the graves of the children of Sandy Hook.

Well I'm glad someone said that. The reasoning behind the deportation of Piers Morgan is that since he's not a US citizen he has no rights granted to him by the first amendment, so censoring him on those grounds would be perfectly constitutional. Personally, I find it quite absurd how people can think we can go to war against a dictator killing tens of thousands of innocent aliens in the name of freedom, yet when some alien exercises his freedoms in the spirit of those given to the oppressed, we can shut him down. I'm making a dangerous assumption of people's opinion of the Iraq war, but I think either way this makes it clear where people's priorities should lie with Piers Morgan and censorship.
-
That common-sense approach aside, I'm fairly certain that there have been multiple court cases affirming that foreigners legally residing in the US enjoy the protections offered by the Bill of Rights, which makes the petition all the more asinine.
-
Yes, by going down that path you're basically saying American citizens are superior to the rest of the World, who are merely second class citizens, and should be treated as such.
-
Plenty of reason to actually wanting him deported back to England to face his charges.
If they wanted him back that badly on those charges, I assume they could simply ask. The US and UK have a number of operative extradition treaties.
