Title: Mod crashing

When I start the BP campaign the load bar fills and when it gets to the end the game crashes to desktop and I get the error [FreeSpace 2 Open - Antipodes has stopped working]. Has anyone had this happen?

Oh ha ha, yes.  Chances are your video card can't handle the deferred rendering and lighting system the BP builds use.

But yeah, have you tried to see a ship model (Loadout screen, F3 viewer, or Tech Room) and the game crashes by that point? If that's the case (and from what I'm getting, that's probably the easiest way to tell), you are very likely on the same boat as me and the rest of the poor sods whose ships are anchored and would have to wait for the "Lite" build. I think I have a bigger problem. I'm not generating a fs2_open.log. I'm using fs2_open_3_6_17_DEBUG_SSE2_BP as the build but theirs no log.

Are you checking your "data" folder from your root FS2 directory?

If you installed the default path, it would be "C:\Games\FreeSpace2\data\fs2_open.log".

its not there. i'm going to try a full reinstall.
