Got bored yesterday and felt like modelling. BOOM.
Out came these.
Watchdog (View in 3D (http://p3d.in/5KVVw))
(http://p3d.in/model_data/snapshot/5KVVw) (http://p3d.in/5KVVw)
Cerberus (View in 3D (http://p3d.in/n5yM0))
(http://p3d.in/model_data/snapshot/n5yM0) (http://p3d.in/n5yM0)
I differentiated the Cerberus from the watchdog with textures and blue glows.. similar to Levi/Fenris and my more recent TC2/TSC2.

Beautiful work!

Wot I think:

Of this kind of awesome. I waited to see a HTL of those sentry guns for quite a long time. And more so, differentiation between the two - it always shat me how easily you could confuse them.
So far, the level of detail on the model? Terrific. And the textures look great. Please, continue! ;)

I would personally add some stripes (on the Red/Blue theme) to the outer/inner layer border. Other than that, fantastic work mjn.

This (http://www.hard-light.net/forums/index.php?topic=40565.0) is a funny read based on the comments in this thread so far. Sorry Axem!

They look really good, mjn.mixael. It's just a pity that they aren't as useful in game as they are pretty. :P

Links in first post are updated to show the newer textures as tweaked by Oddgrim who scolded my laziness and then just did it himself.

Looking good

Indeed, no excuse for lazyness around here when textures are involved! :D

Question: why are these marked as "unlisted" in p3d.in? You limit the number of people that can admire these turrets for reasons I fail to understand, good sir! :p
-
You act like I did that on purpose...

You mean you can't control if they're unlisted or not?
-
You can, it's just not listed by the rest of the settings anywhere. It's easily overlooked.
