Change the glow bitmaps for engines in Model View or PCS?

I think it determines which one to use based on what species the table entry identifies the ship with.

The bit map can be changed in PCS just change the name from Thruster01 to Thruster02 or 03...

Yep...the race of the ship determines which bitmap is used.

Could I make a new "race" (Its actually for a model that is the missile POF so it looks all glowy like a photon torpedoe) And set the default glow tex?

It worked for me, i just changed the name and i got a yellow or red glow;)

I don't know if you mean darkages answer and I don't know quite what he meant, but the names you could change is the "Race" in the ships.tb, near "Name". The other name is the actual texture name thruster01, 02 or 03 (1 is Terran 3 is Shivan).
Don't know if the last name would work but the .tbl change works for me (but here comes my saviour - Mr source code!!!!)

Change the color of the .pcx file, for instance, change the blue terran glow to green, and when the game searches for terran1.pof, it'll find it, but instead of being blue, it'll be green;)

I want to keep the regular terran engine glow I just want to make a little "Photon Torpedo effect" for my missile without replacing current PCX's.
