I might have found this a few years late, but still...NOPENOPENOPENOPENOPE! (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zBHNa0myibs)

Aw hell and that's in Houston too. :shaking:
-
The bees aren't disappearing, they're just entering the property ladder proper!
-
NUKE IT FROM ORBIT.
-
how do you live there for TWO YEARS before having someone over to take a look? It must have sounded like the damn house was ALIVE. And very angry.

Somebody call for an Exorcist?

Oh no NOT THE BEES! (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kl5_cTBEjfk)

Inevitable TVTropes link! (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/EverythingsWorseWithBees)

Anyone hear about the Greyhound bus that was infested with cockroaches yesterday?
-
I would have just gotten a certification in apiculture and opened a honey farm.
-
Why not just redecorate the house to act as a honey farm?
Poor homeless bees. :(

Yes. *shudder*
I would have just gotten a certification in apiculture and opened a honey farm.
Also an excellent idea. I wonder if the exterminators saved any of the honeycomb to jar later?

I'm covered in Bees!!

Yeah, i'd destory that house. I highly doubt it's structural integrity on how bad the walls and ceillings were infested. Looks like it's ready to come down on your head in the next few years if they're in the ceilling that bad.
Reminds me of the above ground water line i helped fix in my old place the third time (first time fixing it for me when i moved in). There was a story about super ants. The above ground water line at the time had heat tape, foam insulation (the kind of foam that computer monitors are held in position with in the box; apparently wood ants like this stuff?), and a wood outer housing to keep squirrels out. Apparently ants like to eat foam. And a nice warm environment meant none of them needed to go dorment for the winter. These ants apparently got big.
EDIT: This hive in human quarterst (http://www.youtube.com/watch?NR=1&feature=fvwp&v=FbbYnfnPiX0) video was disturbing. You hear the guy say a couple of times how he hopes they aren't in the walls when you can see two holes in the wall that bees made. Yeah bees will **** your structure up.
Part two of the video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rj8TLrIg4cE&feature=fvwp&NR=1) is quite interesting as well. **** that hive. These videos really put in perspective just how ****ed that ladies house is in terms of bees, honey combs, size of nest, and gargantuan amounts of honey. Hell, in the second video, you find out how many bees he's vacuumed up, how many sections of bee nest he's taking with him, and how must honey he got out of the nest so far (which was ridiculous).

not sure if this is worse than the house with a snake pit under it (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hs2g22APCQg). Either way,
(http://fc00.deviantart.net/fs70/i/2010/335/f/8/burn_them_all__by_balance_sheet-d33zc21.jpg)
burn them all

Snakes are fun though!

I think you made me paranoid of bees again. Thank you. :nono:
-
I think you made me justifiably scared of bees again. Thank you.
Fixed that for you. :p

"Their coming out of the goddamn walls"

Right beside my window there's a nest of.. something, not sure what:
I don't really mind them so far, they've been better than my human neighbours anyway.
I'll have to do something about it sometime in the future, but right now they'll just stay there.
-
That's a wasp nest. Go buy some wasp killer and spray that ****. Then after a few days to make sure they are all dead, you can knock it down and throw it away. If not for you, then for your neighbors. Especially if there are kids or dogs in the area.
-
Yep, those are paper wasps (http://www.wvu.edu/~exten/infores/pubs/pest/hpm7003.pdf) to be more precise. They are aggressive/territorial, not to mention can sting repeatedly and are life threatening to those who are allergic. I would definitely get rid of that nest in the manner Klaus said.
Edit: Though I'll add on the other hand that they aren't a problem as long as nothing gets close to the nest, and they are very good against agricultural pests. The nests also die with the first frosts and must be rebuilt every year. So if you can tolerate their presence then by all means leave them, but personally I wouldn't want a nest like that on my roofline. :)
-
Yeah I figured they would eventually go away with winter, my plan was to let it alone for a month or so that's when cold weather starts to hit around here.
If they don't vacate the nest after that then I'll have to deal with it, thanks for the tip.
