Title: Newtonian Dampening
Post by: Blazar on April 08, 2013, 09:32:18 am
I wanted to use Newtonian dampening in a test mod so,
in the -ship.tbm I added the line:
$Use Newtonian Dampening:   = true

But there is no change in the behavior.
Any suggestions?

It really only has an effect on ships with high damp values.  You also need to use alt1 $Ai path mode to see it really in action.  If you download the UW mod and add these values, it is quite evident in the second training mission  -- without these settings the bomber group landing on the station spins in circles at every point in the landing path.  With these settings turned on they land naturally.

That's been my experience, anyway.
