Title: My little game's next encarnation...
Post by: Anaz on June 28, 2002, 12:36:10 pm
Ok, everyone remember the game I posted a while ago? Well if you don't, heres a refresher: I programmed a small Turn Based Strategy game and have continued to work on it. Now it has quite a bit more than it did last time it was shown here. If you download the file I ask that you please leave me a comment in this thread. I am still in need of other features people would like no matter how odd it sounds. Yes, the graphics suck, but betterthanyou over at warpstorm (//www.warpstorm.com) has offered to help me with them, so that is one area that (hopefully) will improve.

So, comments, concerns, offers of help, etc... I know that i am not the only person here dabbling in game programming, so I know there are those out there that will respect my accomplishment.

Requires DX 8.1 or greater (I think you can get away with 8 tho)

Could you possibly host the file off a different server? I don't want to register at the forums just to get the file.

This is very cool!

Would I be right in assuming the unit images etc could be easily replaced? Wouldent be too hard to make a FS2 themed version of it.

Actually just the kind of crazy thing we want at Freespace saga.com

Nice work though, but why us the DX window? Wouldent Full screen make things easyer?

Thank you for your comment!!!

Yes, gfx are rather easy to change, just go grab reshacker (no URL, but that is its name) and open up the .exe for the game

I use the window because of debug issues, it would crash on me and an error message would pop up, but I couldn't hit 'ok' on the error message box to make the program shut down, so I had to make it windowed.
