I have no idea why BP chose this as a time to go and crash on me, but shortly after the Carthage arrives, the game crashes. Seeing as it's been fine, I have no idea why the hell it's doing this. Consequently, I am very annoyed right now and do not feel like putting up with annoying things, so I will come back later when I don't feel such so annoyed.
Debug log is weird, it's something to do with the Demeter's cargo container.

Please use one of the builds from the BP build repository.
-
Well, I'd like to know what's happening. Can you tell me what the debug log is saying? So I can know more than 'annoying bug'. Not trying to be rude here, if it sounds like that.
-
The detail level mismatch thing is an MVPs issue, it shouldn't have anything to do with your problem. Your pilot name is pretty great tho

The thing is, if you're using an old build, there's a chance you're running into a bug that has been fixed in newer versions. So please use a newer version to test it. If it still happens, then we can start figuring out what's going wrong.

Alright, tried out the debug build you pointed me at, E. It didn't generate any debug log and BP no longer crashed after the Carthage arrives. However, for some weird reason when I got into Delenda Est, each time I looked at the sun, a picture of a Hecate's light textures showed up and stuck on my screen for some strange reason.
I'm going to try it out on the default build now, see if everything works fine. Kinda peeved by the lack of debug log. Would've been nice to learn why BP kept crashing after the Carthage arrived/
-
A debug log was generated. The debug exe always writes a debug log.
-
Well, yeah. What I meant was that the debug log didn't pick up anything that might point out what's happening, other than that it was still complaining about the Demeter. Sorry, brainfart. But yeah, it seems to have had nothing to do with the Carthage.
-
It would still be a good idea to post the log.
-
I'll make sure to do that later. Gonna go to bed, it's 2:10am over here.

do share with those of us who don't read logs.

oh **** ****
if you change mods/builds your fs2.log overwrites the previous one, right?
because i played some freespace port in the afternoon

my BP pilot is called ****station because i got really annoyed and was tired and watched one too many gmod videos on youtube

Why are you not using one of the builds from the BP build repository thread?
-
Because I got past the Carthage crashing the mission problem, remember? And also because that weird texture thing pops up in front of the sun when I look at it.
Addendum: I understand this might be a bit annoying, but there wasn't really a reason (beyond finding bugs) for me to stop using the 3.6.17 build, and since it didn't do anything else annoying, why not?
-
*sigh*
Okay, several things.
One, the original BP builds had a flaw in the pilot code that corrupted them under some circumstances.
Two, the log you posted does not show any error like the one you described.
Three, even if it did, the first step to troubleshoot it would be to use the newer build.
Just to be clear here: there is no way in hell I or anyone else will be able to help you with an old build. They are unsupported for a reason.
-
Oh, it's an old build. Now I see why you keep asking. Should've noticed that. Alright, I'll get rid of the old builds, then.
