Title: HUD elements doubled w/ BP
Post by: MasterChanger on April 16, 2013, 01:54:16 am
Hello,

I have previously played and enjoyed BP AoA and WiH. I recently used the latest BP installer in order to take advantage of the new features (and WiH Act 3). Now, whenever I use the BP2 mod I get a very strange issue: most HUD elements, including text, the targeting reticle, velocity, etc. appear doubled. This makes it totally unplayable because I can't see what's going on.

I've confirmed this behavior only occurs when using the BP2 mod. With no mod the visuals are normal. I tried to search for other instances of this problem but didn't turn anything up.

I've attached what I think is the appropriate log file. Let me know if I didn't do it correctly. I'd love to play BP WiH, especially the Act 3 I didn't get to enjoy previously!

Does somebody have Yarn's HUD table? Should fix the issue here.

If you want a hotfix in the meantime, try messing with your resolution.

Incidentally you may want to lower your spec-tube settings when playing BP.

Thanks, lowering resolution a bit did mostly seem to address the issue.

There should be a table file in this thread you can use. (http://www.hard-light.net/forums/index.php?topic=84185.0)

When I had the issue, I wound up having to edit tables by hand, and deactivate the regular MediaVPs table. Took me a while to notice which duplicate (at some point I had 3 huds overlapping) was controlled by which .tbm
