the story in this mod alone is enough to justify a novel being written IT IS AMAZING. am i right!

battuta has actually said he's thought about it, but it'd have to have all the freespace serial numbers filed off for copyright reasons

 You can always substitute names and leave out details that make them obvious where they came from. Like the Shiebans and the Bhasuda'ans.

I've actually considered dabbling in this, but have been super busy with school/work/volunteer activities so haven't actually acted on the idea. Was considering writing a novel (or novella) on the Pre AoA dynamics on the GTVA as well as the 7 days they lost contact with the 14th BG.

*shrug* Always figured if no one liked it it could just be my fan fic of a fan fic haha

he's a psychologist by trade, but he's attained some recognition (http://www.beneath-ceaseless-skies.com/authors/seth-dickinson/) for his sci-fi writing

You don't need to study to be a professional writer, you just need to write and get a lot of critiques from writers better than you. And yes, I am a professional writer in the sense that I have pro publications and I'm SFFWA-qualified.
