Title: What is a .bx file?
Post by: Insomniac34 on May 06, 2013, 10:39:10 am
Hi, I have been downloading custom models to use with my FSU installation, and everythings been working fine. I just downloaded the custom Medusa model here:

and I was able to identify and properly extract each file type (texture map, .tbm entry, etc...) EXCEPT the .bx file. Which subdirectory of /data/ should I stick it in? Google isn't helping me :(. Thanks!

Indeed, /data/cache is where .bx files go. They're not strictly required, the game will generate them itself when they're not present - but that tends to take a while for the modern very-high-poly models. That's why pregenerated cache files are sometimes distributed with the models nowadays.
