Man, I'm bored! Two more months till school starts. :p

Y'know... **** you... I just finished with that crap... and there is no way in hell I'm going back.. oh yeah.. I'm not bored either... I can now go to parties whenever the hell I want since I dont have to get up in the morning. Not like that stopped me before.. but...

You forget I haven't been in classes since the end of november.... I've done a lot of partying since then. Besides, there's lots of hot girls at uni. ;7

Hmm.. well.. I guess you dont understand where I'm coming from. I live in Windsor, Nova Scotia... Theres lots of ass in this town.. unfortunately its all on one woman.... I go to Vancouver... Lots of hot girls there.... I'm not used to it, y'see? I dont think I could handle uni until I've been in Van for a few months at least... I wouldnt know what to do... I'd go nuts...

Damn straight. If it weren't for college I'd never get out. It's an invaluable place to hang out with friends, hit on girls and generally screw around.

I get out whether I'm in school or not... Hell, tomorrow I'm going to the biggest party in the province.. its called the Concert on the Hill.. A huge concert on the hill around this huge old British fortress... tons of people, music and booze there... after that, I dont know... I'll probably end up passed out on the road at 3 am again getting yelled at by some old guy...

My advice, get a summer job. That way you can get money to buy stuff for those "hot chicks".

I have a job, and that is about all I do is work or play Ghost Recon. No girls live around me though, or at least ones that look good. :(
I was ready for school to start about a week after it ended and that was over a month ago. :D
Bah! School is easy and this year is even easier since I only need 3 classes, but the state of Texas and all its wisdom says I have to take at least 6. Oh well, I picked blow off classes so now I will graduate 3.5 credits over the 27 needed to graduate AP-Distinguished. And I only made two B's this year so go GPA go!:D
School = Girls :)
Job = Girls :)
Home = Boring :(

bah, I cannot seem to find enough time to do everything I want to do, even with the school crap out of the way. :p I used to go out only for school; ever since I enrolled out I almost never go out anywhere. :D (haven't left the house for over two months) I don't have to worry about school for another year though at least. (until I go to a university)
If you want something to do, get some textbooks on modern analysis. ;7

Screw you i am not going back there, i just finished it now i am ready for 2.5 months vacation ralaxation and lots of party's booze and girls. I even dumped my school books into a place where i never come to stop getting weird flashbacks...

Yep but the ones you'll meet going out at the clubs aren't the crowd you're likely to take home/form a lasting relationship with...more often than not they're either slags or already attached :p
And secondly - If its Uni, call it uni.
College is something dropouts go to if they can't get into a sixth form and school is a miserable prison for people who can't drive, drink or smoke yet.
A university is a very different animal, and deserves to be differentiated as such, in my opinion. Yep - it is THAT much better :)

:mad: my School doesnt have a Sixth form and there is nothing wrong with going College. University comes after College.

You're absolutely correct - there are many sixth forms that are terrible compared to some colleges.
And i was kind of joking about everything except the school and uni parts.
School is that bad, nothing more than a bad excuse to socially condition everyone and in my experience the "teaching" empowers you to learn very little of value.
I.E, it's a total waste of everyones' time. An outmoded, outdated concept from the victorian era.
Uni is that good. Albeit there are some things to iron out, such as the laughable loans system and allocation of resources to each department plus general administration problems, however generally speaking it allows you to learn whatever you want and learn it pretty damn quick.
It annoys me a great deal, then, when i hear attending University to be called "going to school". Its a very demeaning referral.

:sigh: I'm not wanting school to start, even if there are some good things in it. Lucky I don't have to go to school for almost one and half month. :)

ummm...I like school. What? Do you guys actually listen to the teachers, study, and do the homework!?!?!?!
I find school very easy except maybe english, but I hate that class anyways and I never read the books in there, maybe that is why I made a B in there last year. And those exams are stupid and pointless. Give me a study packet for english and math so I can remember what we read and borrow some sparknotes or ask the math teacher to help me on every question on one of those damn packets and I'm good to go. :D History, is easy and last year I read my U.S. History book twice before we finished it once. And the other classes, as long I don't get into trouble and go to ISS or AEP, or miss more that a certain number of days...well...hehe I'm excempt. :p That and if you make a certain percentage on any End of Course Exam you are excempt from those classes as well, and that is why I only had to take two exams this year. :p

What's the difference between a college and a university anyway? I thought the words were interchangeable...

i hear ya buddy, it's my first year of college next year. At orientation a met a hole group of nice girls, one in particular that i'm staying in contact with and hoping to get something started with in the fall

A college is relatively small place that does A-levels. A university is a big place that does degree courses. But a sub-section of a university can be called a college.

The public Schools Systems in both Britain and America were started by industrialists to condition childeren to be better workers and consumers from an early age, as well as to give a chance for Prigs (think along the lines of Bush, Ashcroft and Robertson) to shove their political agenda down the throats of the future generation. Hell take a look at America's Abstinence only education program.
I consider it a great personal achievement and measure of mental strength for someone to come out of a Public/State school not a consumerist sheep, intelligent and with thoughts of their own.

I hated school but loved college. I even went through sixth form and then to college (does that make me an uber dropout?!?).
College here does A levels, diplomas, higher nationals and foundation degrees. I got a diploma in electronics which I liked, then did computer science for a while before realising that I utterly hated it and it was depressing the crap out of me. I'm going to do A levels again in september.
One step backwards but two forward :nod:
