Title: Importing Geometry in PCS2
Post by: Enioch on May 14, 2013, 04:58:16 am
Hello folks,

I have a .pof file that contains my model's detail0 and all the detail0 subojects. I wish to add to this .pof the other LODs, the debris and the -destroyed subobjects.

I have seen the 'Import Geometry' option in PCS2 but have no idea how to use it. Can somebody give me a step-by-step on how I need to set up the subobjects in Blender and export them? Keep in mind that I already have a .pof and I simply wish to add to it, instead of re-exporting the entire model.

Thanks in advance

Reexporting the entire model is, unfortunately, the safest option.

Yeah, that import geometry button has given me nothing but trouble, historically. Avoid it if you can.

I've had some luck with importing turrets and -destroyed subobjects from another POF in PCS2. Never did LODs or debris, but I think they should work. Note though, doing it that way is a chore and you can get crashes for seemingly no reason at all. If you can, do it in the modeling program.
