Title: Would somebody like to test my mission please
Post by: starbug on May 23, 2013, 05:41:35 pm
As the title says, would somebody or somebodies like to test a mission i have made for a mini campaign i am working on and offer constructive crit and improvements. Now i am well aware of Grammar and spelling errors in the briefings and messages, my main focus is on the mission structure and gameplay working first before i sort out the grammar. It as also my first attempt at putting an in game cinematic into a level. I will be the first to admit that i am no writer so i will not be offended if you don't like my writting.

The level requires the latest version of Blueplanet/War in heaven mods and i have been testing it on fs2_open_3_6_19_NO-SSE-20130322_r9593.exe
I know of one bug which i am unsure on how to fix, is that the Shivan's sometimes don't always obey there AI goals and will not attack there intend target and the Ha Long cruiser will sometimes randomly reduce its speed down to 5 instead of following the Cap-waypoint-speed set in the events editor.

So heres the link to my work in progress mission, i hope you enjoy it.

I don't actually remember if this is the case or not, does engine subsystem health affect capship max speed? That could be causing it if so.

Gonna have to be more specific with what shivans are the problem. But if its bombers have you set no dynamic goals for them?

ah right will fix the engine subsystem health and add in the dynamic goals, Other than that what did you think? I want to add in 2 more cutscenes, 1 where the Abaddon jumps in and one were the Everest meets its end, what would the best way to do that, so that the main action doesn't really get interupted because at both those events theres a lot of combat going on.
