Hi everyone, if someone has this tool, I'd be extremely grateful. I've been trying to get by Blender (.dae) file into PCS2, but from what I read I need the version of PCS2 that allows Collada importing, and I've only got the regular one. I've found several links to the Collada-capable version on the site, but they all seem to be broken or out of date, I don't suppose anyone knows of an alternate source, or has a copy of the tool please?
Many thanks in advance! :)

The link in this topic (http://www.hard-light.net/forums/index.php?topic=77292.0) should always work.
-
You diamond, that's the one :D a thousand thanks!
-
That version is not up to date. IIRC that one still has the subobject radius issue (causes crashes and debug errors!) which was fixed in a later vesion.
-
Ooh, in that case do you know where I can lay my hands on the latest version?
-
Isn't the link in Spicious' signature always supposed to be the latest? If so this should be it, unless he has a beta version he's testing.

The one in Spicious' signature is the latest.
However, it also has bug. When you export to DAE it can't be open in certain modelling program like 3DSMAX or it crash

Thanks for the info guys, much appreciated, although it's gotta be said I'm having a lot more luck with 2.03 at the moment, the newest version is crashing whenever I import a .cob. Still green at all this...!
-
COB? Why use COB when you can use DAE?
AFAIK, COB support has been all but dropped in PCS2, as everyone stopped using it when DAE became available.
-
Pretty sure cob worked fine back in my HWBP days. It was the easiest way to convert stuff to obj without going through a modelling program.

I tried a DAE file made from Blender, but it just came in blank in PCS2. I think I'm just doing something wrong at the fundamental level... might have to go back to basics and make sure I'm doing things right.

You need to name your subobjects correctly. Try http://www.hard-light.net/wiki/index.php/Blender_to_POF_Conversions

Awwwwwwwwww yeah. Now things are cooking. Successful import with hierarchy with no goofy converters in between! Thank you sir!
