A lone Clan Wolf pilot finds himself in a tight situation.

I think your understating his predicament. A ground-based combat unit attatched to the side of a Vorlon ship that's probably in another galaxy by now and a ton of it's friends are probably locking on. I think it's a little more than 'tight'.

And fix them damn dreadnaught shadows.

Mechs can work in Zero G, though they have to be equipped with magnetic plates on their feet, manuvering jets and a tether... as for the shadows... ehh.. later.. tiredness...

Pretty damn cool... There is a few small anti-aliasing issues and you may be better off blurring some objecting in the background a wee bit to take care of their texturing problems. Just my thoughts though... Good stuff

Play Heavy Gear II, they've got some ferking sweet Zero-G missions :D

BTW, that render looks awesome! However, I never heard of a Timber Wolf (or Mad Cat, to you un-initiated) having mag-plates on their feet.

In Heavhy Gear II, you're allowed to battleaxe another mech, or slice him to bits with a sword!Tell me you can do that in Mechwarrior! Come on!

Post by: Nico on July 04, 2002, 08:53:43 am
probably not, coz first TimberWOlf ab is obviously TW ( :p ) and because then the statement would be pointless ( of course the "head" -torso- of this timberwolf looks like the one of a ... timberwolf )

whoa, that's a lot of nonsense I've just written :p

Hmm..i don't think the madcat wil survive when the VPK opens the Hyperspace vortex, the pressure change would be to big for the Madcat's frame:)

Ok....first, you can use all sorts of anime-inspired missles, lasers, machine guns, grenades, and Mortars in Heavy Gear II.

Secondly, yes, mech II was the best in the series, but the next is Mech III. I personally like the much-ignored Vulture as my mech of choice.

The Vulture is a prety good mech, but it's arms are prety low armored , even if you ad armor plating to it. But stil i preffer it over the Orion.

Whit 2 erppc's and a gaus rifle...wham slam bam ! legs of the Daishi are no more. And the Madcat is faster then the slugish Daishi.

With 2 PPC and a gauss rifle, you destroy any mech's leg w/o any pb dude  with that, I don't even aim for the legs against a timberwolf :p

With 2 ERPPCs hes gonna have to cram some heat sinks on there, meanwhile my Daish is nice and cool..

Yes 4 double heatsinks.. would do. Or i'll cram on 2 gaus rifles, that way i only need to add heatsinks to the LRMS and SRMS.

This Daishi of mine can kill an Annihilator in one shot to the torso if I hit it with all of the gauss rifles at once... Alpha Strike baby!
Title: All alone
Post by: Unknown Target on July 05, 2002, 08:40:36 am
The Vultch is fast, fast, fast. And when you can put a lot of missles in that torso, you can really turn everything you see into powdered dust.:D

Oh well, talked with ToT the other day and he sais he meant TU as in Tu - the Russian Tupolev class aircraft.

Now its time for :wtf: :wtf: :wtf:
