What would you get if you took minecraft and put it in space? StarMade (http://www.star-made.org), the game where you get to do a lot of minecraft-esque things, but in space with starships and stations. And no tools. Just click and magic happens. You build your own ships to sail around in a quasi-newtonian world, and equip them however you deem fit. Want to mine some asteroids? Feel like playing an intergalactic truck driver? Feel the need to nuke an entire planet? StarMade's got you covered.
Be warned the game is still Alpha, but it's shaping up to be very impressive. On my machine alone, with 4 GB of ram I can both play the game and run a server quite comfortably.
Here's something I made in it, still WIP:

Looks like Blockade Runner (http://blockaderunnergame.com/), but with more implemented gameplay mechanics (well, in the publicly-released version, anyway).
