My eyes are getting into some pain now. I'm having difficulties searching for the post from where I can get the WiH mods so I can test them in action!
Is there anyone who can have mercy on this poor, lost, confused, distressed, hungry soul of mine? :(

yeah it's not like this forum provides an overwhelming amount of poorly-organised information and the community at large is far too modder-oriented to actually care how hard it is for new users to navigate that or anything
much easier to just blame them

I do think that the most recent builds should be linked in the WiH sticked release thread. Or at least a link to the thread that has them.

Though I don't think being a dick about it was necessary, there IS a sticky that says "all released campaigns"... inclined to agree with Qent.
That said, this kind of hostility is why I never became a regular. Y'all can be insular and unwelcoming sometimes. Patience is the virtue.

I'm not sure how serious you are, but I am. I've seen many good threads get derailed with ad hominems, general disrespect for differences of opinion, hostility, and jaded elitism. HLP has never felt like a particularly friendly or welcoming place to me. A shame because small, dedicated communities often are. And I've participated in plenty of them.
But hey look at me derailing this thread with my jaded elitism, ha! But seriously this thread is a shining example of why the HLPverse will eventually meet its heat death.
And don't go all "rah rah rah you just say that because you don't like it here for your own stupid reasons that are specific to you and not valid!" I've seen hostility simmer just under the surface in Internet communities over years and years and when it boils over it's not pretty. I'm amazed (in a good way) that HLP is still what I'd consider thriving, considering its age.

Errr... I didn't mean my initial comment about "sticky blindness" in any sort of hostile way, it was meant as a friendly joke about how stickies, despite being designed to have important & relevant information, tend to get overlooked. I apologise for any offence I may have caused, it was certainly not my intent.

You have to admit that there are people who have a tendency to ignore stickies, it's not just HLP or anything, people like that exist everywhere on the internet and their communities. Also just so you know I'm actually a bit of a lurker, just didn't decide to make an account until recently. Back to the point, that doesn't mean what I said couldn't have been interpreted as rude, so if you took some offense to what I said, sorry about that.

It is a bit bleh for new guys to get heads round what's needed to pimp fs2 sometimes.
But I remember there being a start here link in the navbar at some point. But I may be wrong.

I think it's time for everybody to step back and return to the OP. I see a lot more people taking offense (seriously or otherwise) over a silly remark than I do people actually trying to help.
