Title: Problems starting fsport and fsport-mediavps

Hi,

first of all, i have to thank you for that great work you done!

But i´ve got some trouble playing the fsport.

I installed fs2 open and finished the campaign. After that i wanted to play the mod fsport, so i downloaded it from here: http://www.hard-light.net/forums/index.php?topic=84358.0

i started the fsport mod and got an error...but after pressing ok, it works without any problems.
After some missions i wanted to use the fsport-mediavps mod to get some better grafic.

it fails on startup.

all fully downloaded. I played the fs2 campaign with mediavps_3612 and it works without any errors.

Found root pack 'C:\Games\FreeSpace2\MV_CB_ANI_2.vp' with a checksum of 0xd1e3fc51you have the file MV_CB_ANI_2.vp both in \FreeSpace2\mediavps_3612\ and \FreeSpace2\ . Please try removing the one in \FreeSpace2\ . Nothing good has ever happened if a file is loaded twice from two different places.

This may or may not be related, can anyone confirm if the FSPort-MVPs are compatible with non-English localization?

FSPort Mediavps require 3.6.18 builds or newer. (AFAIK you can't play them with 3.6.12 builds)

Get Get 3.7.0 builds from here, (http://www.hard-light.net/forums/index.php?topic=84731.0)

OR

Get a recent nightly build. (http://www.hard-light.net/forums/index.php?board=173.0)

Hello! I am new here but I figured that it would be better to post in an old thread than starting a new one. I have had similar difficulties with setting up FSPort using Media VPS, although my error log is quite different. I was wondering if anyone could help me figure out what I did wrong?

Either you installed the main FSPort files (which are required) to the wrong location or you did not install them at all. If you did install them, make sure that they are in a folder in the FS2 directory called "fsport" (and it must be called "fsport"). Otherwise, go to the release thread (http://www.hard-light.net/forums/index.php?topic=84358.0) and get everything from "Core Downloads" and optionally all of the "tango" files from "Optional Downloads." Remember that those particular files need to go in a folder called "fsport".
