Okay the link is back up. Sorry I missed the part where Ackbar says "prepare to retreat." It's 720p.

How many time I look the scene? 1000? Or more? And watch it again!! This movie is a reason why cinemas are build!
-
I NEVER get sick of this. lol So. Epic.
On a side note, has anyone checked out the starwars.com encyclopedia recently? I was there a couple days ago (ironically checking out info on the Battle of Endor), and was shocked to find quite a few inaccuracies. I mean, it was really stupid stuff you would have to have not seen the film to not know. Who the heck is in charge of canon on starwars.com now, anyway?

As much as went wrong in RotJ in general (Ewoks in general instead of wookies, other stupid and blatantly merch related insertions, etc), that entire scene is just cinematic brilliance. The rising tension simultaneously on the ground on Endor, in space, and in the throne room just culmanated into an amazing climax that I still never get tired of watching. The space battle especially...just thrilling.
Now if only the Ewoks were Wookies and the rest of the movie wasn't quite so...inferior to Empire. Like the lightsaber blunt-mode on Jabba's sail barge. Oh well.

Kinda heartbreaking that if a new X-Wing were made today, it could match the fidelity of this awesome sequence.
Feels like I've been wanting to play the space battles in Star Wars for my entire gaming career.
XWAUP and mods for FSO are amazing in their own right but, damn if our gaming tech isn't idling through a massive missed opportunity here.

Yep. His version of IV has been my definitive one for years. Still waiting on Empire, but I'm sure it'll be worth the wait.

OMFG! Who is this guy and how can I get a hold of his complete stuff so I can watch it instead of the 1080p version on my Blu-Ray copies?

I would also like to know; that Death Star attack sequence looked fantastic.
-
you can find adywan revisited on torrent websites! there is also a color corrected 1080p version of ESB by adywan, which is based on 97 SE with original Boba Fett voice, emperor etc. which will tide you over until the revisited version is released! :)
the color on the blu rays is so god awful, i'll never watch them. :no2:

This heretic dared insert the imperial theme in the Death Star scene, in fkin ANH?
Burn the witch. Burn. Him.
-
He also added the fight theme from episode III into the Obi-Wan/Vader duel on the Death Star. All the strange music choices and some of the more outlandish visual effects were removed for his purist edition though, which is the one I'd recommend. I have high hopes that he won't similarly goof up ESB, though I'm a bit worried by the amount of actual prop building and filming they've been doing for this one.
-
In regards to ESB, I couldn't find anything on torrent besides one listed as "color corrected". Is that the one seen in those YouTube vids?
Secondly, for ANH I'm grabbing one for the dual-layer iso. As I don't have dual-layer disks but I DO have a blu-ray burner and disks, is it a simple matter of burning it on? Also, as there will be much extra space, is it possible to also burn other ISOs onto the same disk, or is this not possible?

Well, I find the Imperial March in ANH to be a nice touch.
However, Adywan said that he won't add any music from the other movies to ESB:R.
-
Have to say, Purist edition all the way. No hint of prequel at all in that.
-
I like both editions - but then I also think Dual of the Fates was the only good thing to come out of the prequels.
As for ESB, the revisited version (the one that all the youtube vids show) isn't released yet.
