Some people may or may not remember that campaign I had started long ago that was cancelled due to the cause of hard drive failure. Well, for some reason, I started thinking about it again.
I might try and restart the campaign.
For those who don't know what the hell I'm talking about, Hidden Terror was a campaign directed by me, a campaign that was at a shivan point-of-view(the player played as a shivan in other words).
Now, looking back, I realize some of my ideas were pretty stupid in the campaign, so it won't be the same really.
Anyway, before I even start producing it again, I want a full staff ( preferably not completely lazy :lol: ) Also, before I make a website, I want to know if I can get hosted by HLP or somewhere decent(any ideas?)
What I'll need is quite a few things(I'll edit the list as ppl 'sign up')

I might be missing a few things, but thats the basics, there may be more openings than listed in a certain area.
And Dark_4ce, I remember you being very intrested in this sort of thing... intrested? :)

I could probably do some voice acting. Though I need the proper software that can edit the voice files. Any suggestions besides GoldWave (hate it :mad2: )

I think I'm going to give it 3-5 more days before I give it up... seems no one cares, or no one looks in this forum.

I think you need to tell us a little more about it if you`re going to start it up again. Especially if it's going to be different from the original.

Well, I can't really tell you much, but here:
The original started with the Tantalus trying to take down the Bastion(forgot the name of the mission), and the Bastion gets through and destroys the Lucifer. The next mission skips the timeline a bit... but during hte time, your fleet becomes detached from the hive mind because the Lucifer was destroyed and you were 'left behind'. The storyline goes from there, but I can't tell you anymore of it'll ruin everything :p
And yes its from the FS2 Era, and a bit after that. And since this one will be (if I get enough staff, if any) different from the original, so it might even skip the FS2 part, I dunno.

(And Tantalus still sounds too much like the FinalFantasy IX thieve guild. I like the FF series though. Just got FF X and played it for 10 hours straight :D )

Dude... Tantalus is the Demon destroyer that warps in to destroy the Bastion in FS1... I didn't make that up. :rolleyes:
And the campaign is based off one of the theories of the shivans, the hive mind...
And it goes
"We are the Borg, lower your shields and surrender your ships, your biological and technological distinctiveness will be added to our own, your culture will adapt to service us, resistance is futile."

2). In TNG it went like this : "We are Borg. You will be assimilated." Nice and short. :D (It sometimes went like you said, though :nod: )

They are not stupid... hmm... ok... maybe, but they can't be beaten... They will always live! Until the end of the universe... Don't care if voy killed loads of borgs.... They are in other galaxys also!
Anyway... Dragon claw... ouch... you canceled the project becouse of your HDD crashed... Happened to me too... But remade all the missions, and get what other members had of SS from them... i lost 5 missions and 1 model than... You probably lost more...:(

I think the stupid thing about the borg is that they let people beam on board their ships and walk about until they start blowing things up.

Hmm...I think were getting "just a little" off topic here. I don't want DragonClaw to cancel it a second time due to a lack off staff.

Probably won't get any staff anyway, everyone who can even do anything is already working on 5+ projects... I'm not all that great at modelling, I can't texture, and I'm not very good at making missions... but I can probably learn to do everything else myself.

Hidden Terror used to be one of the few campaigns I was really looking forward to. (That was before I really started looking at the forums and what other campaigns were available) I loved the idea of playing from the Shivan's point of view. :cool: I would really like to see this one started up again.

OK I'm gonna give it up again I guess... But I'm still open kinda... if you can really help in areas that I don't do well at, you can still ask me via this thread or ICQ...but for now its off until I get a decent modeller or texturer

Why do you need a modeller or texturer? If the campaign is set during the FS1 and FS2 times then we wouldn`t need new ships.
To be honest even if it wasn`t you wouldn`t need them. Modding is one of the things keeping this community alive without a doubt but with a campaign as inovative as this one could be it isn't absolutely imperative.
All you really need are ani artists (since the standard ani's just won`t work) and Fredders.

Trust me, it is imperative in this campaign... its mostly set in FS2 and Post-FS2 time... but there are reasons why I need a modeller and texturer, not just to spice up the campaign but for the actual story.

Well, if you do actually redo this I'd be interested :) (I'd prolly want to be story person.... can't do too much else for ya...)
