That's actually pretty funny.

It didn't click with me. It's a nice try, but I just felt it was missing something, you know? Like it could have been done a whole lot better. Would have been funny if he'd picked up the ball, muscled his way through the team, dived over the goal line and shouted "TOUCHDOWN!!!" :)
I've heard stories of gridiron football players being sent to train with soccer players in American schools as a punishment and ending up puking their guts up because they can't handle it. I'd have liked to see that, minus the puke! :D

As a former right-side defender: that skit is so win.

they never trained with us, but they would sometimes start bleeding over onto our practice field. i felt embarrassed watching some of them try to up-down. our coach yelled at them to stop putting holes in our field by flopping their fat asses down on it. :D
and then there was that time their punters/kickers and our goalkeepers (me) ended up on the same field for a while. it was fun easily out-kicking them.

By the same token, I'd love to see most soccer players absorb a hit from a 300-pound defensive end. :p

If they created a hybrid game of the two, this guy might fit the bill for the new breed of player required to play the game:

Speaking of which, there's this on PS2:

It's basically soccer with no fouls.

yeah, done that. probably wasn't quite 300 lbs and obviously not a pro player, but still not as bad as the kind of **** that happens to goalkeepers. or getting cleated in the ankle whilst sprinting.

I'm pretty sure this joke has been done before....
