Title: Donation Drive - Animated PNG Kickstarter and how it impacts FSO

Zacam has posted about a Kickstarter initiative (http://www.hard-light.net/forums/index.php?topic=85280.msg1705168#msg1705168) that will help with the creation of a standardized animated PNG format. It's basic goal has been reached, but to maximize its usefulness, the SCP would like to make a $2,500 USD pledge that would mean, in his words, "we'd have it already ported for us and have our own Open Source License to put it under as well."

It's a lot of money, but it's also potentially a big deal, not just for FSO but for the internet as a whole, all around the world. If you're interested in pledging (or if you've ever wanted to donate directly to the SCP for all their volunteered time and hard work), check out the link above.

Thanks to the community's generosity, we've hit the $2500 mark! APNG will be coming to FSO soon! Well done everyone.
