In the title bar of HLP it says HTML edition. Is there a flash edition somewhere?

But not going to happen - it's a pointless waste of resources :)

It was indeed an old thing someone (I forget who) was fiddling around with... but as I said above it's simply not worth the effort. HTML works.

The style of the site doesn't fit into Flash either - it's not good when you have truckloads of news and content, it just gets annoying. :)

Maybe I'm being clueless (as usual), but what benefit, if any, would a flash version provide (other than extra bandwidth consumption)?  Do we need bouncing avatars or something? :confused::confused:

That'd be a flash version of the forums, which no provider currently offers, to my knowledge.

flash is mainly if you want to provide a more visual and interactive experiance for a visitor. Many things can be done with action script which can't be done with javascript. You can make some really neat web sites.

I also agree tho that this does not suit HLP because it is an informative site. Most sites using flash are to sell something or are to present a business in a very dynamic cutting edge way.

I was just curious as to what the flash version of HLP looked like:)

The current HTML version is just fine. Flash would make it worse.
