Title: A quick bit of campaign P1MPAGE and a question

Firstly.....

and now a question-  can someone recommend a good web provider so I can move the main site - pref. somewhere I can dynamic link images to HLP (this ones from my other home account) and which i can use frames/ flash etc without having banners on every page.

Ok, I know it's not a new question, but I really wanted to show off the render - it's my first proper one, and I'm quite chuffed with it  (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/smile.gif)

Dude that's cool, I love that. Nice p1mpage   (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/smile.gif) and I really think you should get into renders - you would really have an edge, what with all those new ships of yours. You could do detailed ships that aren't poly-reduced for your renders, which would be something no-one else would have.

And nice render. The star-burst thing is kind of big, but overall it is good - actually, come to think of it, the image as a whole is really good quality.   (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/smile.gif)

As for file hosting - I used to use Tripod, which was fairly fast, and offered 50mb of space, up to 75 if you sign up with Driveway (or that was the deal in the 'old days'). Let me see if image linking works here...   (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/smile.gif)

Tripod has problem with users linking their file from other webpages. It drives up the bandwidth crazy. They disabled it.  (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/frown.gif) Only tripod images can be linked from tripod pages now. You might try http://www.nbci.com/ ("http://www.nbci.com/")  but they're going to do something drastic to the servers real soon in an upgrade so it's best not to signup with them until late July.  (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/wink.gif)

Hey Aldo, that is sweet - though the beam is not very 'bright', it is detailed, which is something most people don't think of  (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/smile.gif) Keep up the good work, and I urge you to continue to experiment with different ways of doing things.
