Hi again.
Managed to get the launcher sorted out with my previous issue, but after updating my graphics card drivers I've been unable to get the game to launcher from the wxlauncher. The play button will show intermittently but does nothing. Using the older launcher will get the game to load, same as using the exe file itself, but I'm now getting this error when playing the latest instalment of blue planet war in heaven.
Hopefully the fs2log should be attached.
I've already reinstalled the media vps to see if this cured it, but to no avail.
Thanks!

Ah. Intel video. Try adding the -no_glsl command line parameter ("Disable GLSL (shader) support" under Troubleshoot in the launcher)

Thanks for your help. This got me through the first cutscene and dreamscape. However, upon attempting to being the 1st mission, the game crashes to windows where windows says that the game has stopped working. Here is another log file if this helps out.

Found root pack 'C:\GOG Games\Freespace 2\bp-compat.vp' with a checksum of 0x6ef45eaf

NOPE
ALL OF MY NOPE
Never put a VP in the root FS2 folder that isn't a retail VP. You already have those two VPs in your respective BP folders, they have no place in the root FS2 folder.
I read FreeSpace 2 Open version: 3.7.1, can you try with 3.7.0 (http://www.hard-light.net/forums/index.php?topic=85435.0) ? It is possible your ridiculous joke of a GPU is choking on something in the shadows or deferred lighting code, which I'm assuming you're using.

Hi, I've removed those VP's and tried with 3.7 and so far all is good. Thanks!
