Title: (WIP 18/10 UPDATE) GTC Bellephron
Post by: starbug on October 11, 2013, 05:31:44 am
Not sure if many of you remember the GTC Bellephron from Inferno, but it was always one of my favourite model designs from inferno, So i thought it would be cool to have a good at slightly re-imaging the cruiser. So heres what i have done sofar, I have added some detail to the hull, bottom engines and have completely redesigned the bridge section as the original model it looked like it was just a flat plane. So i have taken some artistic licence with that. I plan to add some antennas to the back of the bridge and some on the front and rear of the ship.

But overall what do you guys think sofar?

Do you have any suggestions on what to add etc?

Love the Bellerophon! Really keen to see this develop. I'd. Suggest rebuilding the wings to eliminate the weird triangulation, and adding some Fenris style recesses for now. You've got a massive poly budget, so take advantage of it and eliminate some of those flat planes. But not all of them - areas of flat grey plating work on the Fenris, and they should work here too, if the textures are decent.

Good luck with this!

Just a quick update, have added thrusters and some extra details to the hull and some piping. Current Poly count is 4700. I have also altered the rear as i wasnt happy with the original.

Like magic. Go to their website, make an account and it's easy as anything really. Quite cool to showcase your models, etc.

Just a quick update on the model, I have added a docking port behind the bridge, i have also and sensor antenna's but i am starting to get a wee bit stuck on what to add to the main hull in terms of detail. Also all the turrets bar 2 fit perfectly when compared to the original model, i may either move them or remove them as this crusier does seem to be heavily armed.
