It's like some kind of future yacht. I love the aesthetics of it, kind of reminds me of an alien spaceship.

Looks fine, but needs more sails. Engines are for landlubbers, gimme a two-masted topsail schooner anytime. :)
-
I wonder how the sails could be integrated into the design of the boat? It actually could look really cool with sails.
-
Indeed. Computer-optimized sails would probably also look like from another planet, fitting the boat really well. Also, it'd be much more ecological, not to mention cheaper to operate. I think that the real "future drive" for naval vessels are sails. :) The tall ships will have their last laugh yet.

Beamz!

nice boat

Now that's a Yacht
It'd be a great one upper
"I've got this 140 foot yacht"
"Yeah? Well I've got one that looks like a ****ing spaceship"
"You win"

makes me want to buy a refurbished ww2 torpedo bomber, just so i could sink it.
-
nice boat
was going to say the same thing.

haven't clicked the link but I bet it's the Zaha Hadid one. Please keep in mind there is a big difference between her conceptual sketch and the actual designed boats that have that as an inspiration. The latter are a real let down.
-
I bet it's the Zaha Hadid one.
That is correct. :)
-
Cool. Looks like she was inspired by the 3D printed shapes that are popular these days.
-
That's just inanely ridiculous. Zaha has her own aesthetics since long before you and I were born to this world.
-
It looks a little like the Angelwing from Nexus: Jupiter Incident
-
I like it, and I've sure I've heard arguments before that using curves in the superstructure of a boat like that means it fares better in collisions etc because it flexes under impact instead of relying on rigidity alone.
-
I dunno...the lack of symmetry would probably make me start twitching. :p
