Forget the debt crisis, health care, and the budget bill; meanwhile, in Canada, we ask the hard questions...
I don't know whether to be scared that our government is wasting time cracking jokes, or be proud that we can make such jokes in federal government without someone taking it seriously and preparing for The Endâ„¢. Needless to say, I found this one hell of a laugh.

Better get my registered long barrel rifles ready just in case. :nervous:
-
Beats the **** out of what our representatives have been doing down here the past few weeks.
-
Heh, let's face it, the Zombie has two natural enemies.. Chainsaws and Boomsticks, and Canada has plenty of both ;)
-
I was expecting another case of THH22M doing severe quote mining.

I'll just leave this (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ophiocordyceps_unilateralis) here.
/me whistles nonchalantly.

I'll get my unregistered long barrel rifle ready as well
And all its Russian ammo
Absolutely hilarious though

Here in Poland we don't need such jokes. Our government is hilarious even without them. :)
-
The zombie apocalypse is already happening. Don't you see people walking on the streets all looking down at their whatever gadgets and completely oblivious to what is happening around them.
-
Well, that'd take a non-zombie to see it
Which just so happens I am so yes, I notice it. Rather amusing really
Whenever a phone makes a noise, like a dog to a clicker a human is sure to follow to immediately check what it says. Pavlov. He was a brilliant man
-
that was legendary, well done Canada
-
If the zombies cross the Canadian border, does that mean they'll be sending out the moose cavalry? :P

Why do you always bring up Poland whenever there's something political about another nation being talked about? No one cares, if we did we'd be talking about Poland, which we're not.
It wouldn't be so bad if you said something intelligent instead of "hurr, politicians amirite?"

Nah, they'll just send Mounties. :)

What the hell, guys? Where is your freaking tolerance? Damn, the world has a lot of maturing still to do.. I believe each man has a right to choose whether to stay dead or not and I await the day, when all people, of all races, all nationalities, genders and not identifying themselves with any gender, as well as of any beliefs and any state of life and death will look into each others eye and recognize the same kind of man they are. I hope I'll live or rise in time to see this day.
-
Say what you will about Pat Martin or John Baird, at least they both obviously have a sense of humour :P

I'm pretty sure if those people are zombies, the zombie apocalypse will kill itself off pretty quickly.

It would actually be wise and even neccesary to take zombie apocalypse preparations serious, even if we might not see the type of 'traditional' zombie apocalypse but rather anarchy, chaos, violent gangs and general breakdown of civilization. It's too bad the parliament didn't take it serious, or so it seems in that video at least.

That, however, does not fall under the purview of "Preparing for a zombie apocalypse". That's "Preparing for a civil war", which is quite a bit different.

I though British Columbia also had an ad campaign about how to prepare for a zombie apocalypse. Everyone thought it was very funny. The thing is, those preparations (quarantines, having first aid kits and food etc) are all measures that are good for dealing with a real pandemic. The zombie thing was just to get everyone's attention. I get the impression that that Pat Martin is a skin-deep kind of guy. Doesn't look to understand intentions and effects, just takes everything at face value.

Killing itself quickly? I don't think so. With those big companies like Apple and Samsung along with all the cheapo knockoff companies producing increasing amount of whatever gadgets, this is going to get worse.
-
Well zombies are just a rather extreme version of some sort of pandemic. Nevermind if they are undead, you need to shoot the head or they have a taste for brains. A highly contagious affliction with a very high mortality rate is something that all governments should prepare for, because it's happened before and will happen again.

US FEMA or the CDC or someone had a disaster preparedness website a while back, dressed up as zombie apocalypse preparedness. I thought it was neat, leveraging what's popular to get some real advice out there.
