I've been thinking about how turrets work and such, and I thought of a way to make it so that you could destroy a ship section by section. Create a main hull, then make the other sections of the hull subsystems with a high percentage hitpoint count in the tbl files. The only problem is that they'd be vulnerable to subsystem damage.
Any thoughts?

I think that was one of HLP's first real discussions, a way to implement geo-mod into Freespace.
