Title: FRED 2 3.7.0 for mac?

Hi everybody. I have begun making a new campaign called Our Burning Sons and I am using a mac to do most of the modding hopefully.
I used wine to install the base files and then used the FS Open installer for everything else. It all works flawlessly except for FRED.
My FSO install came with two .app's for freespace, one for debug and the other for normal Open, but it did not come with any FRED related things. I had FSO 3.6.18 installed and that came with two FRED .exe's that do work and open. Problem is that when i try to save a mission using the fred_2_3_6_16.exe or whatever it is called, it freezes and crashes.
Is there any way to get a stable FRED build for mac on 3.7.0
I have searched in google of course before i came here.
