Title: Aftermath crashes
Post by: praseodym on January 11, 2014, 03:38:16 am
Hi folks,

I'm running blueplanet-based "Aftermath" on Ubuntu 12.04 32bit natively with the 3.7.0-engine. Any time the Stargazer departs in "Making a run of it" and I'm waiting for time to depart myself, it crashes. It also crashes with the 3.4-engine. I'm playing the "old" blueplanet folders as recommended, but renamed them to "-old" and revised the mod.ini.

Any ideas?

Log attached.

Regards

praseodym

It also crashes with the 3.4-engine.
The what now? Do... do you mean 3.6.14 or something, or do you mean you actually still have FSO 3.4.x installed? :wtf:

Might want to take care of those before further testing.

Before I can help with anything else...what is BP-based Aftermath?

The error you're getting here involves a missing cockpit model. I have no idea why it'd pop up then.

Sorry, of course I meant the final 3.6.14.

BP-based Aftermath is from sectorgame.com but obviously the site is currently down.

I will remove the flags and report back.

Somehow I believe there is something seriously wrong with your build and mod combination. Fundamentally wrong.

It sounds like you should wait for this guy to complete his standalone version of the campaign. The release currently available depends on an old version of BP that's no longer available.

I know, I still have the "old" files stored here  ;)

That's the reason why I restrained myself from wildly throwing links to current builds and recent files. They wouldn't have done him any good for his particular problem.
