Inception Horns are there, Avengers' joyful adventure is there, a bit of Dark Knight and a whole lot of Iron Man. There is also some scent of animé and a bit of Vanessa Mae too.

If in 20 years I'll be asked to point to a single soundtrack that sums up current times, I'd be forced to pick this one.

Velvet Revolver's instrumental is definitely spot on, but that's because they're basically the original GNR with Scott Weiland in place of Douchebag Rose. But I don't like Weiland so much. Honestly I think Bruce Dickinson would be a great vocalist for Velvet Revolver, but I know that ain't happening.

I've listened to a few songs by Christina Aguilera today and they've been very hit and miss. some of them I really like and some are just awful.

I've only listened to the "The Best Damn Thing" album by Avril Lavigne and the instrumental is pretty good but the lyrics are very bad.

I haven't found anything by Madonna that I can say I dislike.

I was listening to Fleetwood Mac last week and decided I like their stuff.

I guess right now I'm experimenting with my tastes more than anything.

arrived today. first impression, not as jaw-dropping amazing as some previous seether albums, but some good sounding tracks. it's a little disappointing when the best track is released as the lead single, because you don't get to "find" it in the album.

edit: derp. it's a semi-acoustic re-recording of older songs. I didn't recognize this because I only have their 2 newest albums that only supplied one of the songs on this one.

Started in on Volbeat a little. I love the dude's voice, but something in their style... I don't know. It's like they are a metal band who wants to be pop-rock in the vein of Green Day or something, but the metal keeps surfacing.

The last two albums especially punched me right in the feels. I was really trying to achieve the opposite with the music marathon. Whoever writes for the band must have had his heart stomped harder than mine.

Only two songs deep, but good GOD this is fantastic. Unless it drops off sharply, this is easily the best KWS album, yet the least known. It's been on my to buy list for years, but finally actually ordered it since I've never seen it in a store. Should not have waited that long.
