The campaign I'm working on, Shadow Rising, has a number of capship captains for major characters. However, the retail command head.ani's don't seem to do justice to a brilliant young SOC commander, a calm and calculating strategist, an arrogant and aggressive Grand Admiral, or a war-weary President Petrarch.
However, there's a certain very cool set of head.ani's that I'd like to use. So far I've seen them in Blue Planet and Blaise Russel's Sol: A History. Among other heads, they include a young commander with a big microphone (Orestes Control/EA Command) and a determined looking female officer (Admiral Lopez, USD Constant).
In order to use these heads, I need to know who made them so as to give proper credits. Does anyone know where these head.ani's originated?
-
I know I've recognized some of Blue Planet's Head ANIs from Supreme Commander, but Orestes Control was not one of the ones I so recognized.
-
I'm guessing Black Wolf.
-
No, those were probably pre-BW ones, they had a very distinctive style. IIRC, they were all from SupCom. S:AH definitely didn't use any BW head anis, being from before the time they were released. Even in BP, if BW's anis are used in BP1, they were added recently.

Who converted the Supreme Commander anis?
-
If you need more head anis, these Starlancer anis: http://www.mediafire.com/download/tqlxpcqa86bvgsu/StarlancerHeads.7z (converted by IronBeer) are underused. They're a bit dark, though.

Or check these (http://www.hard-light.net/wiki/index.php/Black_Wolf%27s_Anis) out.

It's not finding heads that's the problem- I can yank the ones I need out of S:AH if need be. I just want to know who to give credit to.
-
You know, pics would help identification immensely. Just a passing thought.

Lopez is Head-CM5 (http://www.hard-light.net/wiki/index.php/Head_ani#Head-CM5) in my copy of BP 2-15, so that's by [V]. Orestes control (according to my copy of BP 1-1) is their head-CM11, which is a Supreme Commander one. Their own credits just say that they come from Supreme Commander, so credit Supreme Commander (or if you want to be really anal about it, SC via the BP team) and you'll be fine.

Oh, I know why you say S:AH now.
You must have ShadowGorrath's (now rather-old) S:AH upgrade pack he did a while back which spliced in some headanis/textures/effects and whatnot to make it prettier.

Ya, that's the one.
Ok, so I'll say "head.ani files from Supreme Commander", unless the maker of the heads steps forward to claim credit.
