my modem has taken yet another annoying leap away from "working" instead of randomly going off for 2-3 hours, it gose off for about a day, then works every other day, this means you might not be seeing me in a while, and if it keeps up at this rate, I wont have a modem anymore:mad:

Do you use comcast? (dont know where you live.)  If you do its comcast, I ve been having that problem too.  They say its the heat but I think the're falling asleep. :doubt:

I am using Comcast as well but I have not had any problems for quite a while; when I first signed up, I used to get the same things that you are talking about (at which point my dad got furious, called them up and blasted away at them for providing bad service :D), but everything has been very good for the last few months.
