Title: OT: Important! Special request!
Post by: Stryke 9 on July 11, 2002, 11:39:52 pm
Does anyone know anything about 3D .msh files? Such as what modeling program (if any) produces them?

"We will ask...The Google!"
"Ooooh...The Google..."
*The Google is brought in*
"Google, what makes these .msh files?"

:D

Or hilarious - it's incredible how many people don't even use a search engine before jumping straight on a forum and asking people :)

Normally I don't make a visible post when I find something funny (otherwise it'd be a mass of pointless, wasted posts), but in this instance... that's a great bit of humour there

Wrong, anyway. I used Google and half a dozen other searches before coming here. That has archival Microsoft something files, some kinda 2D .MSH file, even a handful of 3D .msh samples. All of which I found on my own. What I'm looking for is a program to PRODUCE 3D .msh files.

Evidently nobody's heard of them here, either, so never mind.

Well we didn't know you had used a search engine. You should post where you searched before asking others to do exactly what you've done yourself (because they will you know).

I asked whether anyone KNEW anything about it. I'd already done lots of pointless searching, and was assuming someone would already know something, not that they'd give a search without even looking at it.:p

I did searching and I found it...

I guess I'm talented at this stuff :p

i don't see what's wrong with posting here as opposed to searching on a search engine... members of the community will learn what a .MSH file is then, as i have :)

Err... where? It doesn't mention file output anywhere, except that it is implied that the 3DS, etc. plugins will make it compatible with some programs. It's a very nice renderer and all, but doesn't .msh as far as I can tell.

[EDIT: On second look, I would venture that VirtualLight does .vib files.]
