Not to long ago I Bought the 2 game bundle contaning

Freespace The War and, Freespace Silent threat.

I have both of them installed with the latesed 1.06 Pach.

How do I change the resolution in the game??

I have everything up to the max in setings. but i see know where i can change the display depth and stuff.

I am runing An AMD Athlon 1.2 With 512 MB Ram, and A 21" Monitor, and A GE Force 3 64 MB video Card.

the resolution Of 800X600 makes the whole game look Bad Not to mention the textures too.

I don't know whats preciesly wrong but maby the registery patch i made wil help you out. It forces your GFX card to use the highest texture resolution and some other stuff. Maby that wil fix your problem.

download me ! (http://www.3dap.com/hlp/hosted/inferno/darkage/Fs1regfix.zip)

Make sure you read the readme first !;)

FS1 was made in a time when 640x480 was the only good graphics mode because of the technology of the day.  (4mb Voodoo 1s)

FS only goes up to 640X480. BTW, why didn't you just get FS2?

EDIT: Phreak, you could also get the famous Voodoo 2 back then (even in 1997). For those of you who don't follow vid cards, the Voodoo 2 was probably the most incredible vid card ever made. It lasted (for me) from Jane's F-15 till I bought Mechwarrior 4. I probably would have kept on using it, except that no games support it anymore :(
Title: i got this one becuse it was on sale. any way. i do see a Texture improvement alot. ;

You think Descent 3 and FS1 look good, FS2 will blow your mind...

It still looks damn good for a 3 year old game!

What did improve textures? FS1 only supports 640x480, FS2 supports 640x480 and 1024x768 (not 800x600).

Edit: Nevermind, you mean darkage's registry patch of course. :)

My (then-) 4-year old son found the FS/ST dual-jewel in the bargain bin at Best Buy about a year ago (I had FS2 first).

I had just finished the main FS2 campaign for the second time, and was finally gatting my FS addiction under control.  I was down to playing FS2 "only" about 5 hours a day and was rarely seeing a HUD overlaid in my dreams. Then he handed me the CD with an evil smile, I saw the price was $9.99, and I knew it was about to start all over again...

I am still astonished that a kid who can't read could have picked it out of that big bin -- maybe he recognized the :V: logo on the side, then he pulled it out and saw the familar Orion.  He was an addict too -- everything he made out of Legos at the time was called the "GVC Santik" (sic) or a "Juggo Not" (sic).  Much cooler than having a kid who only wants to play Barney games... :D
