So I've been having problems with jump nodes not rendering properly in game. The wireframe is still present and targetable, but shows up black rather than bright green, rendering them effectively invisible. I've confirmed that it happens independently of the mediavps and even the build of FSO. Strangely, debug builds and retail seem to avoid this problem. Help please?
Log posted for great justice.

Likely a side-effect caused by your selection of graphics/lighting cmdline options, and/or your shaders.
-
Except that no external shaders are being used, and I can't think of how the lighting settings with or without FXAA would cause that.
I do note that the mission being loaded is 'Tutorial' and that there are objects in your main FreeSpace 2 data directory that are being loaded.
A quick test with "Retail" data and MediaVPs on "The Romans Blunder" shows jumpnodes just fine.
And to be clear, I tested using Release builds: SSE2, non-SSE and SSE.

Mission being played is just the FRED tutorial mission, but retail missions show the same thing. Also tried it again on vanilla with the latest nightlies (build 10481), on SSE, SSE2, and non-SSE, to no effect.
I did a little more testing, and I've found that the 3.7.0 release builds show jump nodes just fine (although they do appear shrunken and off-center in the targeting box in the lower-left hand corner of the hud). The problem only seems to occur when running one of the 3.7.1 builds.

Some cobwebbed part of my brain remembers this bug popping up for someone ages ago, but I have no idea what the cause of it was then. And if it's something that only appears in nightlies as opposed to 3.7.0, it's probably completely different than whatever that past one was.

You mean this one?
