Holy ****

I wonder if it will be the same as Eve Online in that you can spend forever tweaking your characters face/body but you'll basically never see it.
-
Combine this with the Oculus FaceRift or similar in a first person game.
Get someone working on TrackIR/Kinect/Whatever for lipsyncing.
???
Profit.

Ironically the best character gen I've seen so far remains Star Trek Online, but the characters it creates aren't that great modeled.
Though EVE's is amazing, and you can look at them whenever you want. (Just not for gameplay, because your graphics card will do its best Chernobyl impression if you get more than a couple EVE characters in the same place.)
Oh well, I can give my Comet police flashers again with Aurum, so that's cool with me. WEEWOOWEEWOOWEEWOO SPACE POLICE

My heart broke when they took away my woop woop.
I'm not sure anyone even looks at the nice avatars in EVE
-
They've put a lot of effort into it. Cool, but tbh, its nothing more than expansion over what we've had for a decade or so. I wonder how good/bad the rest of the game will be.

So these hot space elf lady people are in the mah mor put guh with the space dreadnoughts etc?
-
Despite all the options...why do all the faces still look the same?
-
IIRC this game has been in devel for like forever, so... yeah.
I've watched some of the gameplay vids out there, cause that's what I like to check before playing a game and honesty it doesn't look quite as fun as some of the other games already around.

No. This video is for a KMMO called Black Desert. OP is just comparing it to the famous EVE char-gen, which was largely pointless in a game about spaceships.

 thanks for clarifying.
